It’s not an innovation district.
It’s an innovators' district.

Urban to the core

Located in the heart of the nation’s fifth largest city, Phoenix’s Innovation District (PHX Core) offers access to anything and everything you need for a business to thrive – a network of innovators, easily accessible public transit, a deep talent pool, and lots and lots of coffee.

PHX Core encompasses the east side of downtown and the historic Warehouse District. It’s home to anchor institutions including Arizona State University’s downtown campus; the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, which houses TGen and the University of Arizona College of Medicine; and technology-education campus Galvanize. Students, residents and employees alike can access these institutions and creative sector businesses—in addition to hundreds of restaurants, bars and, of course, coffee shops—all within a ten-minute walk.

But at the end of the day, these are just features. What sets PHX Core apart from other innovation districts is the community of people who live and work here.

Tech + Startups

The number of tech companies in the PHX Core continues to soar—Galvanize alone is home to nearly 100 and many others co-locate in the same buildings. The growing network of startups unites under the banner #yesphx.

Arts + Creative

Arts and business intersect in the PHX Core. Bordered by thriving arts districts on Roosevelt, Grand Ave and the Warehouse District, the area is home to ASU’s Herberger School of Design as well as countless architects, designers, marketers and branding agencies.

Startups and entrepreneurs are choosing to locate near one another—often in shared spaces. The proximity to great coffee shops and public spaces is convincing entrepreneurs to choose the PHX Core, where all of downtown becomes your office.
